NURSES / FIRST AID PERSONNEL

Nurse for first conference will be responsible for adequate supplies being on hand for all conferences.  Other nurses will submit to her a list of desired supplies prior to July 1.

1. Upon arrival

1. Check for adequate supplies.
2. Be sure that insurance forms are available.
3. Have phone numbers of at least two doctors.
4. Know quickest route to hospital.

2. During conference

1.  Maintain health forms for delegates
2. Hold and dispense all medications brought by all delegates or document and notify conference director if a delegate is holding his (her) own medication
3. Maintain record of treatment
4. Notify parents when appropriate
5. Replenish supplies as appropriate
6. Be sure insurance forms are filled out completely.
7. Keep infirmary clean.
8. Ensure that all delegates, regardless of age, needing third party medical treatment are accompanied by an adult conference staff member.

3. Before leaving

1. Notify treasurer through the conference director of all possible insurance claims.
2. Make recommendations to conference director for future heath care at the conferences.
3. After the last conference, pack supplies and provide inventory to the conference director.  Be sure to destroy all supplies which will be out of date or unusable next year.
