KITCHEN STAFF

Qualifications

  1. May not be eligible to be delegate that particular conference.
  2. Should be delegate for conference when eligible.
  3. Should be at least a freshman in high school
  4. Must sign application and pledge (not presently appropriate)
  5. Must be recognized as reliable from previous years or have two good references.
  6. Must know in advance, at least in general, the duties and privileges during conference.

Duties

  1. Follow general rules of conference and park.
  2. Do all requested by cooks including scraping, washing, drying, putting dishes away, hanging and sorting towels, sweeping, emptying trash.
  3. Arrive on time as appointed by cooks.
  4. Attend evening meetings and avoid causing distractions during other meetings and activities.
  5. Participate in devotions led by conference director (or his appointee).
  6. Be in cabin with lights out, etc. before taps or as modified by conference director.

Privileges

  1. Kitchen help are not "free agents" but subject to the limitations placed by the cooks, dean, and conference director or anyone appointed by the conference director.
  2. May participate in conference activities as appropriate and when not at the expense of assigned duties.
  3. Any special privileges shall be with the permission of the head cook and the knowledge of the conference director.

Summary

  1. Kitchen help like other members of the conference staff should expect to enjoy the conference through joyful service to the Lord in duties they have assumed and through the fellowship with others present at the conference.
  2. Their behavior should be Christian and therefore above reproach.
  3. Their attitude and actions are expected to be on the same level as required of counselors.
